DHSB Trip to CERN, 2016

“The light show on the old cyclotron detector as well as seeing the equipment at the control room were great experiences.  We loved the freedom to walk around and see the sights.”

Report for physics' course. Bromangymnasiet. 2016

The NA62 straw detector, utilized in experiments of the underground LHC particle accelerator at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERNand whose headquarters are located on the border between France and Switzerland, provides an excellent tool to detect cosmic particles such as muons in the quest for completing the gaps in the Standard Model, a step towards a better understanding of the universe.
